It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Dormston School.
Our aim is to provide the very best learning and teaching experiences underpinned by high behavioural expectations and an enriching extra-curricular programme.
My priority as Headteacher is to provide the educational platform and opportunities for all students to be the very best version of themselves.
We strive to nurture an appropriately challenging, but caring and supportive atmosphere in which each student is encouraged to make the right choice, to develop self-discipline, self-confidence and self-reliance. Whilst forward-facing, we also hold onto the best bits from the past. We are traditional when it comes to discipline, courtesy and good manners and expect every pupil to conduct themselves with the upmost respect for themselves and others.
Our partnership with parents and carers is very important to us, and we will work closely with you throughout your child’s time with us to nurture their aspirations, their learning and their achievement. Prospective students and their families are very welcome to come and see us in action during the school day.
My role as Headteacher of Dormston School is a privilege. I am proud to be working with such fantastic young people, staff and governors.
